A route which makes it possible to discover the principal attractions of the Huayhuash Cordillera in five days This program is particularly well adapted for any public and in particular for the children (as from 14 years) in good health and physical condition.

ITINERARY |
Day 1: HUARAZ (3052M) – MATACANCHA (4100 M) |
This day we will travel by private bus to Matacancha. Along the way, we will cover almost the entire eastern side of the Cordillera Blanca and we will discover the Cordillera Huayhuash. We will camp at night.

Day 2: MATACANCHA – JAHUACOCHA LAGOON (4066 M) |
hiking for approximately 6 hours to the clearing at Sambunya (4750 m.a.s.l.) from where we will have a breathtaking wonderful view of the Rondoy (5870 m.a.s.l.), the Jirishanca (6094 m.a.s.l.) and the Yerupajá (6634 m.a.s.l.) mountains. We will camp overnight there.

Day 3: WALK TO THE PUNTA LLAUCHA or REST DAY(4847 M) |
|
During our 6-hour walk to the Punta Llaucha where we will see flying condors and encounter the most beautiful view of the Cordillera Huayhuash. We will return to the same campsite to spend the night. Those wishing to stay on the shores of the Juhuacocha can rest for the day and enjoy the magnificent scenery.
Our mountain cook waiting us when we back with “Pachamanca”. (Peruvian especial BBQ)

Day 4: JAHUACOCHA – LLAMAC (3300 M) – HUARAZ |
On our last day, we will make a 5-hour trek to the town of Llamac where we will leave our mules and their handlers. We will travel by bus to Huaraz.
