This is by far the most popular trek in the Cordillera Blanca as it deserves to be. Mountain peaks, lakes and beautiful valleys.
The three dominant peaks along the trail are Taulliraju (5830 m.), Chopicalqui (6354 m.) and Chacraraju peaks (6112 m. & 6001 m.). Other peaks along the route include Huascarán (6768 m. & 6655 m.), the highest peak in Peru, Huandoy (6395 m., 6166 m. & 6070 m.) and Alpamayo (5947 m., not seen from its "best side").
This four day superbly supported trek takes you through one of the most beautiful regions of the Andes, over high passes (topping out at 4750 m. - foot Punta Union & Portachuelo), past mountain lakes and into the isolated Santa Cruz valley, camping near lakes and, always above, those sparkling sharp summits
